Who are we?
Since 2003 E.M.Carlini Builders has been a full service company that specializes in taking a job from design to completion with minimal waste of time, cost, or stress to our customer. We are a company that is accessible to the average business or homeowner for a variety of building needs. Some of the specialty commercial work we engage in is the installation of outdoor park equipment such as picnic shelters, shade structures, benches, playground equipment, and playground surfacing. We currently install all of the equipment in western Pennsylvania sold by Recreation Resource Inc.

Our employees
Our employees are highly skilled carpenters who have completed or are in the process of completing four years of carpenter apprenticeship training. Their expertise and professionalism is second to none. Because of this they are given health benefits, a retirement package, and a fair wage set by industry standards.

Our subcontractors
Our subcontractors are all quality companies that have proven themselves on past jobs. They are professional, courteous, and meet our deadlines. We are proud to have them as part of our team.

Contracts
Contract documents consist of drawings, specifications, and a written agreement between E.M. Carlini Builders and you, the owner of the project. The written agreement will contain the final price of the project, progression of payments, and any other agreements made between both parties. We take pride in completing a job on time and within the budget.

History of its founder
E.M. Carlini Builders is the most recent chapter in the working career of its founder, Eric M. Carlini.

Eric began working as a carpenter in 1988. As a high school student he attended the Beaver County Area Vocational Technical School where he learned the basics of the carpentry trade. For the next two years he worked for local contractors while partnering with a childhood friend, Jeff Finch, in running a small wood working business out of his garage.

In 1990 Eric was accepted as an apprentice into the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (Carpenters Union) where he served a four year apprenticeship and graduated as a journeyman carpenter .Being hired out of the union hall, he worked for many commercial contractors until October 2003. He is still a card carrying member in good standing.

In1995 Eric started a small home remodeling business, working alone on evenings and Saturdays, taking on mostly small jobs such as roofing, siding, windows, and decks. For the next eight years the business was known only as "Eric Carlini". In 1999 Eric was contracted to renovate a nineteenth century one room school house located in historic Harmony Pennsylvania. The existing structure was untouched since the late 1920's. The goal of this project was to turn the school house into a functional three bedroom home while maintaining the character of the historic landmark. Eric played a key role in the design of the project and his carpentry skills led to the completion of the home which earned a historical preservation award from the local historic society. October of 2003 brought on the most recent phase of Eric's career. He decided that it was time to devote 100% of his work time to his own business. The construction company was soon known as E.M. Carlini Builders.

Eric enjoys watching the progress that his business has made over the years from the first picnic table made in the garage to the most recent house that he has built. His career goal is to build something on a grand scale such as developing an entire housing plan or raising a multi story commercial building.
